    This position is with our ResourceMate group which falls under our Harris Local Government (HLG) Division.  This position includes a mix of outbound sales, back to base sales, and marketing coordination & support.

     

    The ideal candidate will have previous software sales experience, experience working with sales tools and managing pipelines, and will enjoy working with people. This candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills, strong organization skills and will be used to working in a fast paced environment. 

     

    The preferred location for this position is Guelph, ON, however other locations will be considered.  

    Primary Functions

    • Establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors.
    • Recognize the needs of the consumer and provide detailed information to the consumer about the technical specifications of the computer software offered by the company.
    • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
    • Develop a pipeline and provide forecasting information on a monthly basis.
    • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
    • Serve as a customer service rep for customers who have questions or difficulties.
    • Demonstrate product features before a sale.
    • Gather and analyze consumer behavior data (e.g. web traffic and rankings).
    • Generate reports on marketing and sales metrics.
    • Finds ways to branch into new markets and new territories, developing pipelines and investigating opportunities.
    • Research client base to find new types of customers and sell to them accordingly.
    • Set up booths at trade shows and demonstrates the quality or uses of a product, action all follow up from trade shows.
    • Contribute to collaborative efforts and help organize promotional events.
    • Communicate and sell through social media channels, improve and promote social media profiles.
    • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
    • Engage in superior customer service by making information readily available.
    • Demonstrate superior time management skills and meets sales deadlines.

    Qualifications

    To meet this challenge, you must possess a high level of initiative and energy as required to succeed in a fast-paced team environment, and should also possess the following skills:

    • Previous sales experience in software
    • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and web analytics
    • Strong working knowledge of marketing and sales industry, including digital tools & techniques
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
    • Strong multi-tasking skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Proven ability to work in a team environment
    • Degree in marketing or business
