    With continued success comes continued growth! The Cogdsale team is looking for a Product Specialist to join our team!


    As the Product Specialist, you will be able to take advantage of extensive travel up to 50% of the time throughout North America to deliver product demos to customers and prospective customers! While you're not travelling to some of the most exciting places throughout North America, you'll be preparing the demo environment for future demonstrations.


    As the Product Specialist you will be working directly with some of our top clients! You will have the opportunity to share your industry knowledge, demonstrate the strengths of the Cogsdale system, address best practices, and explain how it all applies to each customer’s unique situation.


    You will have the opportunity to work with a multitude of business entities (including Business Development, Professional Services, Support, R&D, and more; whether internal or external) as well as be an active participant in the various sales process. 

    Primary Functions

    • Maintaining and readying demo environment to show relevant data to customers during sessions.
    • Configuring software to match customer requirements prior to demo.
    • Demonstrating aspects of Microsoft Dynamics GP, Cogsdale WM, Cogsdale CSM, and specific software workflows.
    • Assisting with RFP responses and compiling functional requirements.
    • Report creation in demo environment to accommodate customer requirements.
    • Review and interpret software functionality; making recommendations if necessary.
    • Works closely with the other teams to ensure successful demo deliverables.
    • Escalates high-risk issues appropriately and responsibly and offers up suggestions where and when possible.


    • As the Customer Information System created by Cogsdale is built upon the Microsoft Great Plains platform, strong knowledge of Microsoft GP and CIS is a must.
    • Holds a University degree in an accounting/business management/utility management type role.
    • Enjoys problem solving and interfacing with different personalities and skillsets to accomplish set goals.
    • Takes the time to investigate and assess recommendations and solutions before bringing up problems to his/her manager.
    • 5+ years solid experience in a relevant utility related role and has had exposure to IT related projects and initiatives.
    • Able to effectively communicate with both the business and technology stakeholders, as well as with senior management (especially Directors of finance and/or CFOs).
    • Broad knowledge of related business solutions in the marketplace. Understanding of front to back process flow.
    • Maturity and persuasiveness to engage in business dialogue and support stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of quality and/or process management tools, templates, and techniques.
    • Advanced analytical and problem solving experience.
    • Ability to work with both onsite and remote teams.
    • SQL skills and familiarity with the SDLC is an asset.
    • Fluent in English (written/verbal).
    • Advanced knowledge in MS Office products.
    • Must be available to travel approximately 14 weeks per year (dependent upon client demonstrations).
