    In the key role of interpreting business rules and data, our customers will rely on your expertise to convert data from various systems into the Advanced Solution. Working closely with our Project Managers, you will interact with our customers, on-site, on-line and over the phone to ensure customer satisfaction, and that our products and services are delivered according to Advanced’s methodology.

    Primary Functions

    • Use various tools and processes to complete data conversions from other software packages in a timely and accurate manner
    • Develop and maintain internal and customer-facing conversion documentation
    • Convert data from multiple data sources into Microsoft SQL Server
    • Create complex T-SQL scripts with limited assistance, as needed to facilitate conversion
    • Reconcile converted financial data to ensure conversion accuracy
    • Communicate effectively with management during data conversion process
    • Interpret requirements and define necessary system setups
    • Develop good working relationship with departmental staff in order to troubleshoot technical and functional issues that may arise during the implementation process

    Qualifications

    • Heightened attention to detail, strong technical problem solving skills
    • Intermediate or expert skills in MS-SQL, ability to create and edit complex queries and T-SQL scripts
    • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines for multiple, concurrent projects
    • Familiarity with a variety of database types (such as Access, Oracle, VFP)
    • Ability to quickly gain working knowledge of product, interpret requirements and recommend solutions
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and analytical thinking to resolve issues
    • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Positive, proactive, take-charge attitude
    • Willingness to be coached, mentored and driven to reach your fullest potential
    • The successful candidate must be flexible to work overtime and travel extensively throughout North America and the Caribbean (up to 50% travel required).

    Preferred, but not required

    • Two years of experience in data conversion
    • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science, or related discipline OR equivalent work experience
    • Experience with Utility/Billing applications or other financial applications
    • Understanding of general business and accounting principles and practices sufficient to manage accounting related data
