Position Overview



OUR TEAM IS GROWING!  As a result of our continued growth, Creditron is expanding the Professional Services team! Our team is looking for a Project Manager to work out of our Oakville Office!


The Project Manager reports to the Vice President of Creditron and has both project and people management responsibilities.  Utilizing a team of 3-5 direct reports, the Project Manager will be responsible for the delivery of multiple concurrent implementation projects of varying size and complexity. 

The Project Manager is the customer’s main point of contact for project engagements and will spend a majority of their time dedicated to managing project schedules, deliverables and resources, balancing resource constraints while managing customer expectations and creating a positive customer experience.


Approximately 25% to 50% travel will be expected 

Primary Functions

As the Project Manager, you  will use your skill set to drive operational excellence.You will be a leader who ensures a commitment to flawless project delivery and financial performance at the project level. You will have an exceptional project management skill set and will be well rounded with coaching and leadership skills as well as a financial aptitude and will be expected to develop a culture of effective and consistent project delivery. The Project Manager is expected to: 

  • Lead the implementation of planning, measurement and analysis tools in order to manage and meet customer expectations while continuously improving project specific returns 
  • Contribute to the development of an entrepreneurial culture of accountability and empowerment at the point of contact 
  • Align employee activities and behaviors with the values and goals of Creditron 
  • Support the evaluation and the recruitment of consultants to support and enhance the Professional Services team
  • Drive operational and financial performance on individual implementation projects


Project Management

  • The Project Manager is the customer’s main point of contact for project engagements and will spend a majority of their time dedicated to managing project schedules, deliverables and resources, balancing resource constraints while managing customer expectations and creating a positive customer experience. 
  • Develop and implement a methodology to consistently deliver projects that stay within budget while meeting customer expectations
  • Develop an effective resource management procedure using available tools
  • Develop project plans and project deliverable schedules to ensure resources and information required to do the work are utilized efficiently and issues are proactively addressed 
  • Manage the scope of the project, changes to the project deliverables and scheduling issues, while ensuring customer satisfaction, profitability and technical compliance
  • Define and manage project Estimate to Complete. Manage resource effort and provide input into monthly forecasting and revenue recognition processes
  • Communicate regularly with the customer to ensure a common understanding of project status and to deal with issues promptly and effectively
  • Maintain an acceptable level of utilization

People Management

  • The Project Manager is also responsible for developing and leading project consultants.
  • Provide team leadership, through appropriate decision making, to keep projects on track and ensure that the team members are aware of the ‘big picture’ of the project implementations 
  • Provide feedback and mentorship to team members and foster a collaborative team environment
  • Manage performance reviews and career development. 
  • Ensure corporate policies and procedures for project delivery are communicated to and understood by the team
  • Assist with sales related activities such as proposals, presentations, contracts and statements of work


  • 5-10 years of Project Management experience within a Software Solution Environment
  • 1 to 2 years of direct management experience, leading resourcing, performance review and career development activities
  • king knowledge of project management foundations, including scope management, time management, risk management, human resources management, communications management, and quality management
  • Technically competent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Microsoft Project
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Development environment; .net, SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS is considered an asset
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Information Systems; or equivalent experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or working towards attaining certification, preferred 
  • Deep experience in software implementation or with payments processing is strongly desired
  • Background in Consulting or Professional Services environment is considered an asset
