The Tech-Ops Team Member provides implementation, technical support and administration for Windows-based systems across the enterprise, including application system support for company-wide initiatives.

Primary Functions

  • Identify, diagnose and correct problems related to the operating system, software, utilities and hardware.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating system software and third party software for business systems within company operational guidelines.
  • Create and maintain system documentation for domain technologies, including installation, configuration, and appropriate troubleshooting steps.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement through solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation.
  • Document new procedures
  • Enter/track/update case/changes in ticket management system
  • Ensure company SLA's are met
  • Provide tier 2 support for other support teams
  • After-hours support rotation and implementation as needed
  • Act as an on-call agent for team in specified rotation.

Qualifications

  • Enterprise infrastructure experience
  • Knowledge of FTP/File Transfer, Group policy, NTFS and the application of ACL’s, PowerShell
  • High Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server in an enterprise environment
  • Working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, DFS
  • Perspective and experience with enterprise infrastructure and technology inter-dependencies
  • Minimum of three years’ experience managing and administering Windows Server and Windows Server roles
  • Experience with Windows PowerShell (or other scripting) is highly desirable
  • Experience with Server Hardware
  • Experience Microsoft Exchange
  • Experience Windows Server Roles
  • Experience with Network Troubleshooting
  • Experience with File Transfer and related protocols
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, hierarchy
  • Experience with Virtual Machines
  • Experience with Hyper-V is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
