Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Analyst to join the Human Resources team and support all phases of the Workday implementation lifecycle including planning/roadmap, global design, local/regional design, testing, go-live, post production support and all corporate system integrations.


This position will work with all key business partners and act as a technical point of contact between Management, HR, Finance and IT.

Primary Functions

  • Assist in identifying the root cause of data integrity concerns, recommend and apply solutions, and ensure proper governance is implemented to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Heavy testing of system changes and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. 
  • Work with internal and external business partners to lead new workday HCM development or enhancement projects, while serving as a business analyst to gather and translate necessary technical requirements for developers.
  • Responsible for custom report writing.
  • Responsible for process documentation.
  • Responsible for technical training.
  • Provide first line of support to HR Team Members and Finance/ IT Partners.
  • Support upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
  • Synthesize and present Human Resources data to identify trends and present clear choice options to help management in their decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in technical or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with technology and system integrations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Workday for Core HR, Recruiting, Payroll, and Benefits Administration with the ability to create sophisticated queries.
  • Workday certifications an asset.
  • Experience with Workday Integration an asset.
  • Experience with Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB) tool an asset.
  • HTML skills an asset.
  • Project management skills and experience is an asset.
  • Proficiency with data models, table layouts and design concepts using SQL for reporting and data analysis.
  • High-level analytical and organizational skills with the ability to analyze complex information structures involving multiple layers of data and workflows.
