Harris Recording Solution (HRS), a division of Harris Computer, is seeking a Vice President of Sales and Marketing responsible for leading the sales organization, developing and executing sales strategies for achieving annual quotas and revenue targets.

 

Our ideal candidate is a seasoned sales executive who has demonstrated in his/her’s past the ability to develop  a sales system that is a measurable and repeatable.  Our sales strategy calls for both maximizing the penetration of our software products and services into our customer base as well as driving the acquisition of increased market share in our targeted regions.

 

The VP of Sales and Marketing is an integral piece of the senior leadership team with the highest priorities being our financial performance and creating an organization that endures forever. 

Primary Functions

  • Develop plans and strategies for developing business and achieving the company’s sales goals
  • Channels the culture and 10 values of Harris  Corporation into the sales organization
  • Define optimal sales force structure to maximize revenue objectives while maintaining the cost of the sales organization in sync with the established budget objectives
  • Manage the sales teams, operations and resources to deliver profitable growth
  • Define the personnel profiles needed to achieve the revenue goals and hire and develop sales staff
  • Define and oversee sales staff compensation and incentive programs that motivate the sales team to achieve their sales targets
  • Define and coordinate sales training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support company sales objectives
  • Manage key customers’ expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required
  • Put in place infrastructure and systems to support the success of the sales function (CRM tools , analytical tools)
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting in a timely fashion
  • Ensure the compilation of information and data capture related to customer and prospect interactions by sales force in the CRM tool
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and peers
  • Work closely with the marketing function to establish successful market communication for sales organization and channel and partner programs
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities
  • Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships

Qualifications

  • University degree from an accredited institution. no MBA needed unless paid by previous employer.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of VP sales management experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
  • Minimum five years in a sales operations and business planning capacity, Demonstrated in previous jobs his/hers ability to successfully manage analytically rigorous corporate initiatives.
  • Self-starter & driven individual with an excellent ability to execute and sustain with a high sense of urgency. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport across the company and our customers.
  • Experience selling in the public sector will be considered an asset
  • Significant travel is required (50%)
