Position Overview

The Software Support Specialist is the primary contact for customers with support issues. The ideal candidate will work with customers and customer databases to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.

Primary Functions

  • Provide front line customer assistance by phone, email and/or using internal case management system.
  • Identify and assess customer’s needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication.
  • Update the internal knowledgebase with issue resolution details
  • Escalate problems as required to Tier 2 and Tier 3 support teams.
  • Quickly and accurately determine incident scope and impact.
  • Follow up on cases at pre-defined intervals until resolved.
  • Act as a liaison between customers and technical escalation teams

Qualifications

The Software Support Specialist must possess a high level of initiative, aptitude and energy in order to succeed in a fast-paced environment.  We also prefer several of the following attributes:

  • Associate, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices.
  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative.
  • Work closely with team members as part of a cohesive group in exchanging knowledge through training sessions and peer to peer interaction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
  • Positive, results oriented mindset.
